T  The history of transportation for Lansing is tightly woven into the fabric of Michigan Transportation History. Along with the contributions of R. E. Olds, and his "Merry Oldsmobile" other Michiganders have contributed to keeping us, and the rest of America on the move. Did you know that the first mile of concrete road was in Michigan? Or, that the idea for stop lights at intersections came from Michigan folks? And how about that line down the center of the road that divides us going North from them going South? That's right, it started here in Michigan! Read more about our transportation firsts and foremosts in transportations at the following Web sites. You might be surprised.
