N  There are several things that comprise a neighborhood. Usually there is a school, one or more churches, stores, maybe a park or community center or other unique attraction; and of course people. The one other word that best describes the interactions between all these factors is the word Family. With almost 40 Lansing public schools, several private and charter ones, this community has a firm basis for a variety of neighborhoods. Along with schools, community centers such as Cristo Rey, Black Child & Family Institutes, Foster Street Community Center and several others have, helped knit communities together to become family.
