Welcome Teachers!
Welcome to L is for Lansing, a resource for students, teachers, and historians who want to know more about the history of
Lansing, Michigan. This project was developed by the Young Spartan Program, a partnership which includes staff from nine Lansing elementary schools, Michigan
State University, and Impression 5 Science Center, and many others.
Contained within this section of the website are lesson plans for teachers to use as supplements to their class work. There are teacher guides for the
elementary grades, which will tell you the parts of L is for Lansing which correspond to various objectives in the Lansing
School District's K-1 curriculum, and Pacing Guides for Instruction for grades 2-5. There is also a place for teachers to correspond on a Bulletin Board set
up to support your efforts in staying connected
We hope that as this project evolves in the future, interested teachers and others will contribute lesson plans relating to topics related to Lansing,
links to additional relevant sites, and other resources for teachers.
