Mission

L is for Lansing was created by the Teacher's Committee of the Young Spartan Steering Committee to share with Lansing area children, teachers, local historians, and interested citizens, the richness of Lansing, Michigan's heritage and history. Information and links contained within it relate to the elementary curriculum of the Lansing School District. It is seen as a project that will evolve and grow, as others share related lesson plans, additional links, and varied resources to enrich its content further.

The mission of L is for Lansing is to:

• Share with Lansing area children, teachers, local historians, and interested citizens, the richness of Lansing, Michigan's heritage and history.
• Provide additional teacher-created resources to teach the elementary curriculum of the Lansing School District and other area schools.
• Continue to grow and evolve as community members contribute additional resources, to better meet the goals described above.
